BullBill Technologies ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of restaurant owners and their customers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our billing and restaurant management software available at bullbill.in.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: Name, business name, email address, phone number, and GSTIN when you register.
  • Business Data: Menu items, pricing, table configurations, orders, and billing records that you create within the app.
  • Customer Data: Phone numbers and loyalty points of your restaurant's customers, collected at billing with their consent.
  • Usage Data: App usage patterns, device type, and IP address for improving our service.
  • Payment Information: Subscription billing details processed securely through our payment partners. We do not store full card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the BullBill billing and restaurant management service.
  • To generate GST-compliant invoices and reports.
  • To power the customer loyalty and rewards features.
  • To send you important service notifications and support messages.
  • To improve the app based on usage patterns.
  • To process your subscription payments.

3. Data Isolation & Security

Your restaurant's data — sales figures, customer list, menu, and billing history — is completely isolated from all other restaurants on the platform. No other business can access your data. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest to protect your information.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Third-party vendors (e.g., payment processors, SMS providers) who assist us in operating the service, bound by confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by Indian law, court order, or government authority.
  • Business Transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred with prior notice.

5. Data Retention

We retain your business data for the duration of your active subscription and for 12 months after cancellation, to allow reactivation. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Your Customer's Privacy

When you collect a customer's phone number for the loyalty programme, you are responsible for informing them that their number will be stored for rewards purposes. BullBill processes this data on your behalf as a data processor under Indian law.

7. Device Permissions

The BullBill mobile app requests the following device permissions:

  • Camera: Used to capture photos of menu items when setting up or updating your restaurant menu. Photos are uploaded to our servers and associated with your menu.
  • Photo Library / Media Storage: Used to select existing images from your device when adding or updating menu item photos.
  • Bluetooth: Used to discover and connect to Bluetooth thermal receipt/KOT printers at your restaurant. We do not use Bluetooth to track your location or identify nearby devices for any other purpose.
  • Location (Precise/Approximate): On some Android versions, the operating system requires location permission to be granted before an app can scan for nearby Bluetooth devices, even though BullBill does not use or store your GPS location. This permission exists solely to enable Bluetooth printer pairing and is never used to track your whereabouts.
  • Push Notifications: Used to deliver real-time order alerts and important service updates to your device via Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can disable notifications at any time from your device settings.
  • Internet & Network Access: Required for syncing orders, menu data, and billing records with our servers.

All permissions are used solely for the purposes described above and are not shared with third parties for advertising.

8. Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

BullBill is a business tool intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
